Tools to drive innovation in the social sector: a look inside organizations

During our 10th Annual Conference, Amira Bliss, the Rockefeller Foundation’s associate director, listed tools to bring social innovation to organizations and to foster the ability to generate sustained innovation over time, among which she highlighted “having specific resources for innovation” ideally “a 20% of our total budget should be devoted to innovation and a 10% for radical innovation” and talked about the need to have diverse teams “not only in gender, but also race, age and ability”, something that Ignasi Carreras reiterated in his speech: “We tend to hire people who look like us. We will not innovate if we do not hire diverse people.”
